This customer focus begins with the selection of superior products. An analysis of all suppliers is routinely undertaken to ensure that the customer will be well serviced by their products. The manufacturing plants of all major suppliers are visited by Ottawa Windows and Doors staff to ensure on-going quality, and warranties are evaluated to ensure that the best interests of the customer are always maintained.
The next focus is on hiring the best window and door consultants. Each person hired either has many years of experience in the window industry, or has a varied background that can bring a clear expertise to the renovation questions that the customer may have. It is important to Ottawa Windows and Doors that they are providing the best advice possible on all aspects of your renovation as it relates to windows and doors.

 

Thirdly, the management of Ottawa Windows and Doors puts significant focus on the installation teams. None of the installations are done by sub-contractors. The only time someone that is not an employee of the company is allowed on a job site is when there is a significant electrical, plumbing, or masonry component to the task. Ottawa Windows and Doors prides itself in paying its employees for time spent on the job site, rather than by the volume of windows they install. This is unique in the industry. Also, a high priority on training has been instilled into the company. Licensed Carpenters and Apprentice Carpenters have been high on the skill list when making hiring decisions.
Finally, the Ottawa Windows and Doors management team continually evaluates what the company is strong in, and where it needs to improve. There is a clear objective to continually improve as a company so that the services offered are always at the forefront of where the industry is going.

 

Mark Wardrop has owned the company since 2003 and has guided it with exceptional integrity, business acumen, and commitment to his customers, staff and suppliers. This has allowed the company to receive many industry awards including the 2009 BBB Marketplace Ethics Award, and the Consumers Choice Award for 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

 

Ottawa Windows and Doors has a desire to make the community that we work in a better place to live and work. As such, each year the company donates construction time or money to a local charity. Past projects have included: The Mission, Jericho Road, Community Bible Church, Union of The King's Daughters & Sons, and First Place Crisis Pregnancy Centre.

 

In 2010 Ottawa Windows and Doors and sister company Copperstone Kitchens united in a beautifully expanded design studio at 60-A Colonnade Rd. This expansion was designed to increase the product options available to our clients allowing more hands on and visual selections. This new location, sculpted with our customers needs in mind, will better service the Ottawa marketplace and enable better understanding of product and industry options.
